Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Right now, 1 in 4 children with cancer pass away. And the heavy treatment often has a great impact on the child's life. This must be improved. Therefore, in September we hope to raise awareness of childhood cancer. Are you joining?

Draw against childhood cancer🖌️

The golden ribbon is the international symbol for childhood cancer. Draw a ribbon with chalk in front of your door, on the schoolyard or at your sports club. And help us raise awareness of this disease. Because the treatment of childhood cancer must be improved.

What do we hope to achieve?

The Princess Máxima Center treats all children with cancer in the Netherlands. We are a research hospital with only one mission: to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life. To achieve this there is still a lot of work to do. And we can't do this without your support. It truly makes all the difference in the lifes of children with cancer.

The treatment of childhood cancer must be improved

Right now, there are children we can't cure from their cancer. Like Jahraino (7), who died of an incurable brain tumor. Also, heavy treatment often has a great impact on the lives of children with cancer. Maurice (16) had a tumor in his knee and needed a leg amputation. Liv (8) has a kidney tumor and lost her beautiful hair due to chemo.
