About us
The Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology in Utrecht, The Netherlands, is a unique center where all high complex care and research for children with cancer in the Netherlands is concentrated. It is our mission to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life. As the largest pediatric oncology center in Europe, we look beyond our national borders and also want to offer children outside The Netherlands the opportunity to be treated in the Princess Máxima Center.
In the Princess Máxima Center nearly all types of childhood cancer are treated, but we offer some specific areas of research and treatment more broadly, to share this accumulated expertise. These include:
In addition, some Phase I/II studies are open for international patients and we offer Second Opinions.
Every referral is assessed individually.
Children living in the Caribbean part of The Netherlands are also eligible for treatment in the Princess Máxima Center.

About our International Patient Office
The International Patient Office (IPO) provides support for children and their families throughout the entire process, from the initial registration right through to the completion of treatment or a second opinion.
