Below you’ll find our basic 10 step process which gives you an impression of how we work.

Our International Office gives an initial assessment within 5 working days whether the patients application is potentially suitable for treatment in the Princess Máxima Center.
The International Office contacts you to make arrangements for the exchange of further (medical) information.
You will receive a treatment plan and cost estimation. You will also receive information about practical matters that you need to arrange prior to your visit to the Netherlands and the Princess Máxima Center.
A video consultation will be scheduled. The clinical specialist will provide you and your doctor with all the information about the treatment and your stay at the Princess Máxima Center.
Have the treatment plan and the cost estimation been approved? If so, we will ask for a bank guarantee or payment of the full costs in advance.
The first appointment in the Princess Máxima Center is scheduled. You will receive a written confirmation. You can now start to organize your trip and accommodation. Upon request, our International Office Coordinator can advise you on this.
On the day of the first appointment you will be welcomed at the central reception of the Princess Máxima Center by our International Office Coordinator. This is the start of the treatment.
Arrangements have been made for the entire stay and treatment in the Máxima Center. As a parent you are able to stay with your child in the same room in the hospital during the clinical admission. The treatment plan is implemented. During the stay, our International Office Coordinator is your contact person and provides support when needed.
We would be happy to receive any feedback or questions you have for us before, during and after your stay. Your treating physician would be the first person to get in touch with.
