Gita Gallé joins board of directors Princess Máxima Center

Ms. Gita Gallé will join the board of directors of the Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology with effect from April 1, 2020. As a board member, she will be responsible for the center's general policy, finances and operations. Together with the current two board members prof. dr. Rob Pieters, responsible for care and education, and prof. dr. Alexander Eggermont, responsible for research, Gita Gallé will form the full collegiate board of directors of the Princess Máxima Center from April 1, 2020.

Gita Gallé has extensive managerial experience in healthcare. In recent years she has been chair of the board of the Deventer Hospital. Before that she was a member of the board of the Jeroen Bosch Hospital. She was also director of the Dutch Hospital Association (NVZ) for many years.
The Supervisory Board is delighted at the arrival of Gallé. With her extensive managerial experience, knowledge of healthcare and competences, she is the right person to contribute to the next phase of the Princess Máxima Center and its further development as a top-notch pediatric oncology healthcare and research center. Gita Gallé is very passionate and her ambitions match the ambitions and mission of the Center like no other, according to the Supervisory Board.

Goodbye
Diana Monissen will officially step down as chair of the board with effect from February 1, 2020; in February she will hand her office over. On Wednesday afternoon January 29, 2020, Diana Monissen will say goodbye to contacts and stakeholders.
