Tjahny Bercx new commissioner Princess Máxima Center

The Princess Máxima Center has appointed a new Supervisory Board member. Tjahny Bercx joined the Supervisory Board effective January 1, 2024, succeeding Clémence Ross - van Dorp.

Rokus van Iperen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board (SB) of the Máxima Center is delighted that Tjahny Bercx is joining the SB: 'His knowledge and broad HR experience fit well with the phase in which the organization finds itself and fits in with the new multi-year strategy. As the largest pediatric cancer center in Europe, innovation in care and scientific research are important spearheads. We are very grateful to Clémence Ross - van Dorp for her important contribution to our beautiful center.' 

The new commissioner feels privileged. Tjahny Bercx: 'Innovation, organization and strengthening (international) cooperation are important strategic themes for the coming years to achieve the mission of the Princess Máxima Center: to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life. I am grateful to be part of this.' 

Tjahny Bercx (1963) has years of experience in HR and as a director and as a supervisor at companies including Leaseplan, KLM and ING and is active as a supervisory director at Achmea and ProRail. He therefore understands the impact of business operations in various organizations. His broad knowledge is of great added value and contributes to good supervision. Tjahny Bercx was appointed on the recommendation of the Works Council of the Princess Máxima Center. 

The Supervisory Board of the Princess Máxima Center now consists of chairman Rokus van Iperen, vice-chairman Barbara Fransen, Kees Buijsrogge, Houke Klomp, Johan van der Werf and Tjahny Bercx.
