Moving after your surgery with an endoprothesis

After your surgery, a new phase begins: recovery. During this time, moving your body is important. It helps your body get stronger and adjust to your endoprosthesis. On this page, you will find information and tips to keep your body moving.

You don’t have to do a lot right away. Small steps help you move forward. Start with sitting and standing. Then begin walking again with small steps. Together with your physical therapist, you work on your recovery step by step. This helps you build confidence in your body and in what you can do again.

What can you do and not do with an endoprosthesis?

Bo had bone cancer as a teen and knows how scary it can be to start using your leg again. In the video, she shows how you can start moving your body again step by step, and what you can and cannot do with an endoprosthesis, now and in the future.
