PHARMAFORGE
The High-Throughput Screening (HTS) Facility of the Princess Máxima Center is part of PHARMAFORGE, a cross-border collaboration between the Princess Máxima Center in the Netherlands and Ghent University (UGent) and Biovia in Flanders.
Within PHARMAFORGE, the Princess Máxima Center's expertise in high-throughput biological screening is combined with the high-throughput chemical synthesis capabilities being developed at Ghent University. By connecting these complementary infrastructures, an integrated innovation pathway is created in which new compounds can not only be synthesized rapidly but also efficiently tested for their biological activity.
This collaboration supports a faster and more data-driven approach to drug development and provides researchers and innovative companies with access to advanced technologies that are typically difficult to access individually.
PHARMAFORGE is funded through the Interreg Flanders–Netherlands Programme, with support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.
