Prinses Máxima Centrum

Future-proof fight against cancer calls for national cancer agenda

Today, in the Standing Committee of VWS of the Dutch Lower House, the discussion with the organisations IKNL, KWF Kankerbestrijding and NFK about the Dutch integral approach to fighting cancer takes place.
Gita Gallé, member of the Board of Princess Máxima Center: In the Máxima Center we are already taking important steps in the field of new, better treatments for childhood cancer. As one of the specialist oncology centres in the Netherlands, the Máxima Center, following the example of many other countries in Europe, supports the initiative of the National Cancer Agenda.
With a national cancer agenda, we can put the challenges of today and tomorrow on the agenda and address them even better, improve oncological care and support for adults and children and put the Netherlands at the international top of oncological knowledge and innovation.'
